====== Hardware Support ======

Phantom Linux ships with Arch Vanilla Linux kernel and modules, with a few patches applied. That should suffice, but it might lack some hardware.

If you want a **wider hardware base**, you can install the Zen Kernel ("linux-zen") via the App Center, which is the result of a collaborative effort of kernel hackers to provide the best Linux kernel possible for everyday systems. You will be able to choose it at boot time.

**Nvidia drivers** are installed by default, because we assume that most users have a Nvidia GPU. If you have older cards, they may require an older driver. To find out the required driver version, you can go to the [[https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx|Nvidia website]]. Then, you can uninstall the "nvidia-dkms" package in the App Center and install the "*-dkms" with the correct version number, which comes from the AUR.
